Services
Doulas and mother/parents-to-be will meet long before the special day nears. At this meeting the mother/couple will share with the Doula their ideas and wishes for the upcoming birth and decide if that particular Doula is right for them.
The mother/parents can then express to their Doula how they would like her to help them achieve the birth they want and voice any concerns or questions that they may have. Their Doula may then be able to help them find answers to those questions, in order for them to explore their options and make informed choices, if they chose to do so.
The Doula will be with the Mother for the duration of her labor and will stay with the Mother for anywhere up to a few hours after the birth in order to help her in any way she might need. A postnatal follow up visit may also be given, in order to discuss the birth and the parent's thoughts of their experience.

Postpartum Doula Services
A Postpartum Doula is like a 'second mother' in the home, helping a family adjust to life with a newborn. Unlike a Baby Nurse, a Postpartum Doula cares for the entire family including older children, and the new parents. Light cleaning, meal preparation, running errands, laundry, baby care, mother care are just some of the things that I may do when supporting a family.
Four hours a day and three days a week minimum.
